DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families. As a part of the Skill India campaign, it plays an instrumental role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like the Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns. Over 180 million or 69% of the country’s youth population between the ages of 18 and 34 years, live in its rural areas. ASMITA Fund
Asmita
The Government of Maharashtra has launched ASMITA Yojana to distribute subsidized sanitary napkins to the rural women in the state. Minister of rural development and women and children development, Smt. Pankaja Munde announced the scheme. This scheme is for rural women and adolescent girls of ZP school of age group 11- 19 yrs . For adolescent girls, a pack of 8 sanitary napkins will be provided at a subsidized rate of Rs 5/-. For every packet there is a subsidy of Rs 15.20.

e – Saras
The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra has been working towards the socio-economic up-liftment of the socially deprived section of the rural women under Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) eco-system by organizing them into Self-Help-Groups (SHGs). In line with this vision, MSRLM has launched an initiative of “e-SARAS” to steer the hand made products made by Self Help Group (SHG) in the state of Maharashtra. e-SARAS is an initiative of the Government of Maharashtra to provide a marketing platform to rural entrepreneurs. Hand made products delight thousands of customers with a wide range of value added products such as handicrafts products, jewellery products, garments products, food products, utility products and herbal products. Interested customer can feel the essence of Rural Maharashtra through ethnic taste of foods, handmade textiles, jewellery, and herbal products available in varied range. Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission has developed e-commerce platform for customers who can buy directly through application. Interested customers can download the mobile application from Google Play store. Users need to search in Google Play store by name – “ Mahalakshmi e-Saras”
Yellow Revolution
The Rural Development & panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra has been working towards the socio-economic upliftment of the socially deprived section of the rural women under Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM). In line with this vision, MSRLM has launched “Yellow Revolution” to steer the production of eggs by promoting backyard poultry practice by Self Help Groups across the state. Fresh Desi eggs are being collected from Palghar District under Pilot Project and sold in the Thane city by business partner M/s Greenfield Agro Service.
